Speaking & Training

    Why not train the capacity?

From the beginning, Dean recognized that technical excellence alone did not create loyalty, confidence, or transformation. What mattered most was how clients experienced intensity, how they completed challenge, and how those moments shaped memory and identity.

How to Fill the Room, Not Just Teach the Class

A talk for studio owners and trainers.Full classes start with how the room feels.

    1. 01

      What's your studio's fill rate?

The talk opens with one question. Most owners know their price per class. Few know how full the room really is.

    2. 02

      Equipment is not enough

Great machines and a good workout open the doors. They do not fill the room. Empty classes are a coaching problem, not an equipment problem.

    3. 03

Change the experience in the room

The coaching approach shapes how clients feel during the hardest minute and the last minute. That feeling is what brings them back. It builds on Lagree. It does not replace it.

    4. 04

      What to do tomorrow

Owners and trainers leave with clear changes to make in their next class, so the room starts to fill.

    The Journey

    An Unconventional Path

Before founding CORE40, Dean's path was unconventional. He practiced law and built a successful real estate portfolio alongside his wife and business partner, Lisa Grafos. Following the 2008 financial crash, their professional world unraveled, creating space for a deeper reevaluation of purpose, identity, and what truly creates meaningful change.

It was during this period of recalibration that Dean discovered Lagree, an experience that reignited his lifelong belief in movement and revealed its potential far beyond physical results. That insight became the foundation of his work.

    17 Years of Mastery

    Obsessing Over the Client Experience

Over the past 17 years, Dean has built CORE40 into a multi-location studio brand by obsessing over the client experience, not just the workout.

He has personally taught more than 5,000 classes and trained hundreds of instructors, refining a methodology that blends movement, psychology, and intentional class design.

His work centers on helping instructors lead with presence, command and control the room, and guide clients through moments of challenge in ways that build trust, confidence, and long-term retention.
